This was one of those projects that took almost no time and made me a zillion times happier. That means really happy if you aren't a math oriented person. Our fireplace used to be ashy and spidery. Two strikes. Plus it had a yucky screen that had been there for oh, forty years. You can kind of see what it used to look like before I got my hands on some dark brown paint. It's not really a before picture, because, like I said...I'm working on it.
And after about 10 minutes of cleaning spiderwebs and other nasty things, and a whopping 3.5 minutes of painting, it looks like this now!
And in the evening when it's time to snuggle and be toasty, the candles get lit. One day we will get a gas line running, but until that day comes, I'm happy.
